Anthemis tinctoria 'E.C. Buxton' - Dyer's Chamomile
1/8 teaspoon of open pollinated seeds from our gardens.
Beth Chatto listed this plant as one of her ten best ten garden plants.
A prolific plant for a sunny border, Anthemis tinctoria 'E.C.Buxton' is a vigorous evergreen perennial that will light up your garden throughout summer and can continue to flower into autumn with its abundant blooms of pale yellow, single daisy-like flowers. When not in flower, the plant boasts fragrant lacy foliage. A low-maintenance, drought tolerant plant, it adds long-lasting color and contrast to the summer perennial border. This plant is cold hardy, but should be protected from frost. Height 80cm.
Excellent cut flower.
Sow seeds in spring after the last frost. Seeds germinate at around 21C. Sprinkle seeds on top of potting mix as they need light to germinate. Water, keep damp but not wet. When plants are around 4cm in height they can be transplanted into the garden.
