Centaurea phrygia, the wig knapweed, is a species of Centaurea. It is native to Europe. A beautiful wildflower so-named because its buds resemble wigs. Gorgeous bright purplish-pink cornflowers on upright stems all summer long and into autumn. Great for picking and a good nectar source for insects too. Full sun, average to dry position. Hardy perennial. 60cm H x 30-40cm.
