Salvia nemorosa 'Salvatore Blue' - Seeds
10 open pollinated seeds from our gardens.
Salvia 'Salvatore Blue' is a perennial salvia that features incredibly deep blue flower spikes on dark, nearly black stems flowering from summer to autumn. Grow in full sun in well drained soil. This salvia only grows to 30cm, making it perfect for pots. Frost tolerant.
Sow seeds indoors 6 to weeks before the last frost or direct sow after the last frost. My prefernce is to sow seeds in pots regardless. Seeds need light to germinate so sprinkle on top of the potting mix and gently water in. Keep moist but not wet. Germination is in 21-30 days if kept at around 20C. Transplant salvia seedlings into the garden, after all danger of frost.
