Silene uniflora 'White Bells'
Sea campion, Silene uniflora, is a low-growing, semi-evergreen, native perennial, found in a variety of coastal habitats including cliffs, rocky islands and sand dunes. A small, clump-forming perennial with tiny, grey-green leaves and comparatively large white flowers, it’s similar in form to bladder campion. Silene uniflora ‘Alba’ bears masses of white bell-shaped flowers above blue-green foliage. As a coastal plant it’s tolerant of sandy conditions but also very rich soils, and is tolerant of sun and some shade. It’s ideal for growing in containers and rock gardens. Grow Silene uniflora ‘Alba’ in moist but well-drained soil in sun or shade. Cut back after flowering. How to grow Silene 'Alba'. Height 15cm.
