Spanish Iris - Dietes bicolour
A clump-forming rhizomatous perennial plant with long sword-like pale-green leaves, growing from multiple fans at the base of the clump. The pretty yellow open-faced flowers have maroon/brown spot on each large tepal and grow on tall stems above the leaves. Although the flowers only last a day, hence the name day iris, it has a long flowering season. It flowers predominantly in spring and summer. Grows to 60cm around.
